ASIS International is the leading organization for security professionals worldwide. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics. ASIS also advocates the role and value of the security management profession to business, the media, government entities, and the public.
By providing members and the security community with access to a full range of programs and services, and by publishing the industry's No. 1 magazine—Security Management—ASIS leads the way for advanced and improved security performance.
The Southwestern Ontario (SWO) Chapter was founded in 2002 with 15 members. Since those early days the membership has consistently grown and enjoys a strong membership of almost 100 professionals representing many facets of the security industry, including uniformed guarding, private investigations, security system integration, consulting, corporate security management, and government. Our membership area extends from Hamilton West to Windsor, up to and including Owen Sound and all points between. The monthly Chapter meetings are mostly hosted in London with the exception of a fall meeting in the Sarnia area and a spring meeting in the Kitchener area.
You are invited to join the Chapter each month for business networking and continuous education. You do not need to be a member to attend and we welcome members from likeminded organizations. For more information on upcoming chapter events, click on the Events tab.
